Decide what you want your nomadic life to look like. Here are some questions you’ll want to ask yourself:
Do you want to work for a company that offers remote positions or do freelance work? Do you want to travel and have a blog? Maybe you want to travel and not work at all. The options are endless.
Let me be clear before we dive into the next part. I’m not a financial advisor, planner, analyst or anything before after or in between. I’m just someone who enjoys living life as a digital nomad. If you have any specific questions, please reach out to a licensed financial professional. Cool?
Take a look at what you have – Travel doesn’t have to be expensive but you want to make sure you have an idea of what you have. Can you quit your day job start a blog and travel for a year or even more? Do you need to work part time, freelance or full time for a company to make ends meet while you travel? It’s important to assess your current situation and decide what’s best for you.
You are evolving – constantly
By the way, just because you need to start off working for someone else remotely doesn’t mean you can’t work towards quitting your job totally. It all depends on what your goals are. In other articles, we will go over just how much you will need to have saved for your travels, tips on how to save to reach your goals and where you can and shouldn’t pinch pennies.
I know, it’s A LOT to think about that’s why I’ve created a free worksheet for you to organize your thoughts and information.
